    Job Description:

    Associate Director, Oncology Program Manager

    The Associate Director, Oncology, Program Manager will be a member of the Program Management Team with assignment to a specified Therapeutic Area within the Oncology US Medical Affairs organization. In close collaboration with the Therapeutic Area Lead(s), this role will be responsible for driving cross-functional integration of operational activities, including coordinating deliverables across workgroups, leading decision-making activities and identifying risks requiring problem solving and contingency planning. This individual will lead their assigned Therapeutic Area Team(s) in short & long-term strategic planning, including business planning activities.

    The Associate Director of Program Management will report to the Director, Clin Ops and & Program Management in USMA. The primary responsibilities include:

    Program Management Lead for Oncology:

    • Prepare Presentations/Reports for Sr. Management
    • Alliance Management
    • Advisory Board Support
    • Budget Management (including alliance budget(s))
    • Prepare Agenda, Facilitate & Deliver Minutes for key meetings
    • Manage Team Meetings

    Process Improvement & Metric Dashboards:

    • Develop & Maintain Dashboards to track current process and status of various activities
    • Issue identification & resolution development

    Program Management Lead for Strategic Planning:

    • Business Plan Development (including joint alliance business plan)
    • IEGP support
    • Tracking Strategy/Tactic/Deliverable details, including budget, risks and issue management
    • Updating US-MA metrics to be communicated to the Oncology Leadership Team
    • Resource Planning

    Therapeutic Area Communications:

    • Develop communication plans
    • Maintain SharePoint
    • Cascade information to team

    Qualifications - External

    • Bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to graduate degree is required OR Master’s or doctoral degree in the life sciences, medical sciences, chemistry, or business is preferred
    • Minimum of five years in project management is required
    • At least eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical field is preferred
    • Project management certification would be preferred (PMP, FPx, etc.)
    • Previous work in international and multidisciplinary drug development teams with knowledge of regulatory and business requirements is preferred.
    • Exhibiting strong analytical skills for integrating and interpreting international and interdisciplinary project information is preferred
    • Expert leadership skills in a team environment is preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills for bridging between scientific and business participants, for negotiating timelines and for effective interactions with all levels of the organization is preferred.
    • Expert problem-solving skills developing creative solutions to maintain project timelines; ability to resolve conflicts in an objective fashion is preferred
    • Strong planning and tracking skills, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management is preferred
    • Core competencies to include delivery of results, gaining commitment, interdependent partnering, customer focus, team development, building trust, change management, decision making, master’s complexity, innovation, communications, delegating responsibility is preferred
    • This position will be based in Horsham, PA and will require up to 20% domestic travel
