    As a member of Hematology Oncology (HemeOnc)Medical Affairs, the Associate Medical Director, Lymphoma & Leukemia will assist in strategic planning and work in cross-functional teams to support the J&J portfolio of HemeOnc products. She/he/they will partner with colleagues from Commercial, R&D, Global Medical Affairs, Real-world Value & Evidence, Biostatistics, and work through integrated evidence teams and other touchpoints to formulate and execute medical & scientific strategy on both marketed products & pipeline assets. She/he will assist in addressing medical questions/issues that arise from the field and experts in the Hematology Oncology therapeutic area.

    • Responsible for working with the Therapeutic Area Lead, Lymphoma & Leukemia, as well as other individuals within HemeOnc Medical Affairs and other functional areas within J&J to facilitate research expanding the knowledge of all J&J products for heme malignancies
    • Collaborate with external investigators and thought leaders; serve as a liaison between company and clinical investigators and thought leaders, and develop credible relationships with thought leaders, medical directors, and key regulatory officials.
    • Provide subject matter expertise and function as US medical representative with internal stakeholders across multiple functional areas including marketing and sales, real-world value & evidence, MSLs, and medical information.
    • Provide US Medical Affairs (MAF) input to R&D, including input into design of R&D clinical trials and presentations and publications.
    • Help develop and execute Medical Affairs sponsored and supported clinical programs by leading study design, protocol development, execution, and supervision of Phase IIIb/IV trials, registries, real-world evidence, investigator-initiated & collaborative studies in lymphoma and leukemia

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • MD/DO degree required
    • Board certification and/or experience in Oncology strongly preferred
    • At least 3-5 years of total work experience required
    • Clinical study, registry, or real-word evidence study experience strongly preferred
    • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills are required for this high visibility position
    • Experience interacting with health care professionals and other thought leaders is a strong asset
    • Experience in clinical trial design and clinical data interpretation is strongly preferred
    • Experience in scientific investigation into mechanisms of immunological disease would be an asset
    • Evidence of strong scientific writing skills and analytical thinking is essential
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence is necessary
    • Experience interacting with global regulatory authorities is also desirable
    • Approximately 25% travel required

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $155,000 to $266,800.

    The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.
