The ASSOCIATE, STRATEGIC & CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT, will support activity to identify and execute strategic developments in global markets. The position will support the development of key growth initiatives across the enterprise, including the use of external partnerships, organic business development and the identification and analysis of M&A targets. The Associate will take the lead in delivering competitor analysis and market intelligence to senior stakeholders. A strong interest in international business and a global perspective is key to success in the role. The candidate will also need to maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact of healthcare and economic trends in key markets worldwide.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take the lead role in the development of market and competitor analysis and ensure the senior business leadership are informed of key developments in their markets
Develop and maintain country, industry and competitor sources of information in key global markets
Develop and update country and company profiles from research activity to assist in the analysis of international growth markets; including economic, industry, competitive and financial analysis
Provide business and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, strategic planning and M&A activity
Assist in the identification and analysis of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
Collaborate with executive business leadership to support strategic planning and strategic reviews and the preparation of recommendations for new strategic initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
At least five years of healthcare industry experience
Strong research and analysis skills with the ability to synthesize and interpret large amounts of data
Client, vendor or external relationship management experience
Experience preparing C-Level presentations
Demonstrable understanding of the practical application of strategic concepts and tools
Ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts, businesses and markets
Attention to detail, initiative and problem solving skills
High levels of proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Business travel and work schedule flexibility will be required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working for a management consulting or strategy consulting firm
MBA or equivalent qualification
Languages skills, with a preference for fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
