    Truman Medical Centers Lakewood is located between Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families.  Truman Medical Centers Lakewood specializes in high-risk maternal and child care, and serves as one of the few Kansas City metro area institutions accredited by The Joint Commission in Orthopedics and Palliative Care.

     

    Works with System Director in planning, implementation, operations and evaluation of medical imaging programs while effectively collaborating with Director, Medical Imaging Lakewood and Eastland Clinic. Responsible for meeting regulatory standards and accreditation requirements including, TJC, CMS, MQSA, ACR, and NRC. Drives performance improvement, education/training, staffing and other human resource management activities. Serve as a representative of the department as needed on committees and teams. Responsible for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction as well as teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers. Coordinates the technical aspects of imaging services and provides supervision over the activities of supervisors and team leads for each imaging modality. Functions as system director in his/her.

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience is required; Master’s degree is preferred
    • Graduation from a two-year Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certified
    • Must also have four years of experience in the field of radiology management including two years of supervisor experience
    • ARRT certified; Other combinations of experience and education may be considered
    • Strong communication skills are required to gather and exchange information, provide leadership and guidance to staff and interact with management
    • Good written communication skills are required to document employee performance issues and prepare reports
    • Must have knowledge of human development process and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
    • Experience with survey and accreditation processes specific to the field of Radiology including MQSA, ACR, TJC
    • Computer literacy is required
    • Maintains CPR certification for continued employment

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • BSRT
    • Master’s degree
    • 6 years progressive leadership experience in the field of Radiology
