UNIVERSITY HEALTH PHYSICIANS, is an academic group practice affiliated with the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE in conjunction with its major teaching facility TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTERS/UNIVERSITY HEALTH (TMC/UH). Since its inception, UHP has grown to include over 150 medical staff doctors. As a private not-for-profit corporation we employ the medical staff faculty for the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE. Our multi-specialty doctors provide patient care at the primary teaching hospitals and their clinics. The UHP administrative staff provides group practice management activities including billing and reimbursement services.
UNIVERSITY HEALTH PHYSICIANS and TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTERS are currently seeking a full-time psychiatrist to join our medical staff in providing psychiatric services in an outpatient setting.
This position will work with a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychologists, social workers and therapists. Other duties will include: paid call on the consult liaison service or inpatient mental health unit and teaching of psychiatry residents and medical students. Participation in hospital-based committees and providing lectures to other medical specialties is encouraged.
The qualified candidate will have graduated from an accredited medical school, and completed a residency in Psychiatry.
