    Tucson Orthopaedic Institute, A BRAND PARTNER WITH UPSTREAM REHABILITATION, is searching for DRIVEN AND TALENTED PHYSICAL THERAPIST for our OUTPATIENT ORTHOPEDIC CLINIC. Our Physical Therapists combine EVIDENCE BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY PRACTICE PHILOSOPHIES along with ONSITE PATIENT INFORMATION AND IMAGING STUDIES to ensure the best clinical outcomes for our patients. We are searching for a COMPASSIONATE, FORWARD-THINKING Physical Therapists who OPTIMIZE PATIENT-CENTERED DIAGNOSIS by assessing strengths and weaknesses to devise effective TEAM-BASED TREATMENT PLANS in accordance with the physician’s orders.

    We are searching for Physical Therapist that are EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS and have STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS who want to be part of a COLLABORATIVE TEAM.  We are searching clinicians that want to join a team that is improving the health and well-being of our patients by advocating injury prevention, exercise, nutrition and complete wellness.

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

    • The Physical Therapist / PT perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations.
    • Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred but not required.
    • The Physical Therapist / PT will evaluate, develop and administer detailed treatment programs with specific goals defined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance and in accordance with the physician’s orders.
    • Educate patients about the bio-mechanics of their body’s natural movement to prevent additional injury and to promote wellness.
    • Communicate with physicians, team members and patients to ensure a consistent level of care and improved quality of life.
    • Perform daily documentation.

    REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:                     

    • Current state license or actively in the application process.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Must have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Verbal communication skills required to explain procedures to patients
    • Knowledge of human development process and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages required
    • Writing skills required to maintain various records
    • Ability to order tests and/or test results on a computer terminal required
    • Must have physical ability to walk long distances for long periods of time, lean across the bedside to draw blood, or to push a cart
    • Must be able to carry a phlebotomy tray and lift and carry a filled gallon bottle
    • Must be able to work weekend, holidays, and rotate various shifts, if needed
    • Certification in phlebotomy and course in medical terminology preferred
