  • Responsibilities

    THE CUSTODIAN KEEPS GROUNDS, BUILDINGS AND SPECIFIC WORK LOCATIONS IN CLEAN AND ORDERLY CONDITION BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

    • Smile and treat guests with friendliness and respect.
    • Sweep, mop, scrub, bathrooms, hallways, and common lobby areas.
    • Empty trash and garbage containers from inside buildings, pavilions, picnic areas, etc.
    • Clean and dust furniture and fixtures.
    • Clean windows and mirrors.
    • Police grounds in all areas.
    • Report maintenance or repair needs to the Campground leadership team immediately.
    • Be attentive to guests' needs, answering their questions appropriately.
    • Take responsibility for the locking and unlocking of buildings as needed and required.
    • Take responsibility for preventing safety hazards by abiding to preset safety standards including wearing protective equipment.
    • Assist during special events to include setting up, maintaining and breakdown of the event.
    • Setting up and breaking down of tables and chairs for special events.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.

    • MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE

    • Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers.

    • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

    • Must be able to follow instructions concerning safety rules, operating, maintenance and procedures.

    • Must have the ability to apply common sense understandings in order to carry out simple and complex instructions furnished orally and in written form.

    • Must be able to identify and solve problems.

    • Must be able to tolerate working with strong chemicals.

    • Must have the ability to use a two-way radio to communicate with crew and departments.

    • Must be able to work and make decisions independently without constant supervision.

    • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

    • Must have and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License.

    • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:

      • Stand for long periods of time and walk.
      • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
      • Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
      • Frequently required to talk and hear.
      • Occasionally lift and/or move carry, push, or pull 50 to 100+ pounds with assistance.
      • Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
      • Must be able to take directional cues directly or indirectly.

    Required Experience

    • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT EDUCATION PREFERRED.
    • MINIMUM OF 3 MONTHS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
