Inpatient Admissions Manager

Position Summary:

Rogers is seeking an Inpatient Admissions Manager for our West Allis hospital. The Inpatient Admissions Manager is responsible for leading the Admissions Supervisors and Intake Specialists. The Inpatient Admissions Supervisor responsible for leading and improving the overall operational efficiencies, effectiveness, and productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluates workflows for patient registration, patient screening, insurance verification, and scheduling for efficiencies.
• Establish policies and procedures to effectively manage access to inpatient care following regulatory guidelines.
• Hires and trains staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborates with other departments.
• Responsible for developing and conducting 1:1 support to Rogers Admissions Supervisors, Intake Specialists to provide best in class service to potential patients.
• Participate in the admissions leadership on-call rotation to support staff.
• Collaborate and communicate with Operations and Nursing regarding capability and capacity to admit patients.
• Oversee processes and procedures to ensure compliance with department metrics and KPI's.
• Review reports to address answer rate, screenings that need to be completed and timeliness of admission flow.
• Manage inpatient admissions staffing model
• Responsible for managing the admissions budget.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or human services field required.
• Minimum of four years of experience in healthcare admissions or patient access.
• Supervisory or lead experience with proven results.
• Completion of required trainings under Rogers’ policies.
• Electronic medical record software experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance providers.
• Experience working with Microsoft products.

Shift:

First shift - 8-5pm, travels to all 3 hospitals weekly

On call rotation and weekend and holidays rotation are required
