MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Credit Analyst is the main contact for a specific customer portfolio for financial issues as they relate to the order-to-cash process. Working closely with the Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Pricing, Finance and External Customers to process authorized disputes and works to collect on all unauthorized deductions.

 Position supports the Pricing Analysis team of the Foodservice Business (~$1.1B sales) within Graphic Packaging International focused on selling various paper cup & carton packaging solutions for the foodservice industry (Quick Serve Restaurants, Hospitality, Theatres, Specialty Coffee, Supermarkets, etc.).    

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Resolution of open deductions within 90 days prior to impacting sales/EBITDA
• Collect info/backup to determine validity of the deduction or dispute
• Responsible for facilitating the discussions on unauthorized deductions and coordinate collections
• Process, Escalate and Resolve
• Escalate to the correct individuals for resolution
• Effectively communicate findings to both internal & external customers
• Proper use of dispute reason codes when issuing debits & credits
• Track and meet return revenue goals
• Analyze account history, deduction patterns, maintain contacts
• Maintain positive rapport with customers
• Monthly rotation of Invoice Responsibility

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 
• Minimum 3 years industry experience with credit analysis exposure required.  Similar financial analysis experience considered
• Demonstrated customer focus with an understanding of collections, customer disputes, business risk & working capital management
• Experience in coordinating with multiple departments to achieve business objectives
• Experience working in the following systems strongly preferred
• DR/CR System
• QAD – Order Entry
• Blacksmith – Trade-Spend system for Proof of Delivery Claims/Billbacks
• SAP - Finance
• Business Objects/CUPS BI, Forge Analytics – Reports/Data Warehouse
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, intermediate proficient in Microsoft Excel to advance 
• Must be creative, resourceful, organized & able to work well independently & as part of a team
• Superior written & verbal communication skills
• Work involves confidential & sensitive information. 
• Discretion is essential

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

• General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
• Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
• Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
