  • Responsibilities

    The Quality Utility position will keep the building clean by running floor scrubber, cleaning sinks and fans, etc. in production areas. Collect and disperse rags and dust mops. Collect trash and dispose of accordingly. Complete audits throughout plant for Quality and Sanitation. Organize and maintain the filing of spec sheets weekly. Review and update procedures as needed. Assist with 5S throughout the plant. Fill in as a line inspector when needed. In addition, perform and complete other work as assigned. All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging safety procedures and policies.

     

     

    THIS POSITION WILL START AT $16.50/HR WITH THE POTENTIAL TO EARN UP TO $19.60/HR WITH ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS. THIS IS A DAY SHIFT POSITION ON THE B SHIFT ROTATION.

     

    DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:

    • SANITATION CLEANING: Perform sanitation duties. Cleaning of fans and other items in production areas as needed. Use given checklist to ensure all shift, daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities have been met. Initial checklist and turn it into shift manager.
    • COLLECT TRASH: Collect trash from the Cup Floor, Lid Line, Maintenance areas, Warehouse area, Ink Room, and the Parts Room.
    • BACKUP LINE INSPECTOR: Fill in as Line Inspector as needed and complete special testing as needed.
    • 5S PROJECTS: Work with Continuous Improvement Team to 5S the plant.
    • KEEP INVENTORY OF SUPPLIES AND RESTOCK OR MOVE TO STORAGE: Visually inspect supplies to determine what items will be needed. Notify shift manager of items needed to be ordered. Put away supplies in storage locations as well as stock janitor room.
    • ASSIST WITH PROCEDURE REVIEWS/AUDITS: Assist with Quality procedure reviews and auditing of reviews. Make changes and updates as needed and send to appropriate manager for approval.
    • SPEC SHEET FILING: File new spec sheets for the week and remove obsolete spec sheets. Organize and maintain the filing of spec sheets.
    • STOCK PPE DISPENSERS: Keep all PPE dispensers stocked throughout the plant (this includes hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, and bump caps)
    • OPERATE FLOOR SCRUBBER THROUGHOUT PLANT.
    • COLLECT AND REPLACE RAGS AND DUST MOPS THROUGHOUT THE PLANT
    • TAKE SUPPLIES TO PRESS OPERATORS USING TOW MOTOR.
    • CONDUCT AUDITS FOR MISPACKS, SANITATION, AND OTHER SPECIAL AUDITS.
    • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

     

    TIME OF OPERATION: 12 hour shifts, working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks with four (18) minute breaks and one (20) minute lunch.
