    The BRQC Data Science Fellowship is a two-year experiential program designed to provide hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical industry that will enable fellows to interact with BRQC colleagues. The BRQC Data Science Fellowship program will provide a broad understanding of the global development process and quality strategies and processes, while gaining hands-on experience through participating on cross-functional teams. The BRQC Data Science Fellowship offers a more focused experience for participants to apply their analytics/data science expertise, while gaining valuable insights on the pharmaceutical industry.

     

    DURING THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM, THE FELLOW IS EXPECTED TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING KEY ATTRIBUTES OF OUR CORPORATE OBJECTIVES:

    The BRQC Data Science Fellow will be required to complete a project for presentation to the BRQC Senior Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders. They will attend cross-functional meetings in support of their roles and responsibility during their tenure in BRQC.

     

    THE BRQC DATA SCIENCE FELLOW WILL:

    The BRQC Data Science Fellow will support quality teams within BRQC in coordination, review, and preparation of necessary documentation in support of the quality management system in support of the research & development organization. In addition, the BRQC Data Science Fellow will be provided a rotational experience throughout each functional pillar of BRQC. The BRQC Data Science Fellow will gain an introduction to the different aspects of each quality team, provide a fresh perspective on key initiatives, and support the always changing quality landscape.

     

    The rotational experience will gain exposure across sectors and functions according to the following schedule:

    • During the first three months of the program, the BRQC Data Science Fellow will gain exposure to the Quality Analytics function, learning the available tools and techniques available as part of the Innovation & Design and Data Science offerings.
    • For months four through twelve, the BRQC Data Science Fellow will gain exposure in three of the following areas:
    • Compliance Strategy & Analytics
    • Governance & Operations Management
    • Quality Assurance
    • Quality Management
    • Quality Management Systems Oversight
    • Quality Planning & Strategy
    • BRQC Medical Devices
    • BRQC Consumer
    • During the last twelve months, the BRQC Data Science Fellow will work within the Quality Analytics department, working closely with data and analytics experts to leverage subject matter expertise gained from the functional rotations to focus on targeted analytics and data science projects.

     

    Additionally, the BRQC Data Science Fellow will develop leadership behaviors and professional skills through selected programs to enable becoming a leader in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Qualifications
    • Completion of a Bachelor’s, advanced degree, doctorate or equivalent
    • Completion of a data science boot camp or equivalent education/training as a prerequisite to this program.
    • Availability to work Full-time.
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future.
    • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, and Excel (including a high proficiency with generating pivot tables
    • Technical competencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, as is experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases
    • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
    • Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred
    • Academic and/or industrial clinical trial experience is strongly preferred
    • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred
    • Participation in campus/community service activities is desired
