THERAPIST-RESPIRATORY REGISTER Location US-TN-MEMPHIS Posted Date 13 hours ago (6/5/2018 2:28 PM) Position Code 30390006 Day Shift No Night Shift Yes Rotating Shift No Evenings Yes Status Regular Full-Time Department ME RESPIRATORY THERAPY Overview and Responsibilities Selected candidate for hire will be responsible for assisting the department in patient care coverage in the Acute Care setting in Medsurg, ICU , CVICU and ER areas in hospital and also in outpatient setting. Provides respiratory care using critical thinking skills learned and refined through education and experience as a Respiratory Therapist. A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) demonstrates these skills by successfully completing examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and earning the credential RRT. Assesses, evaluates results, and implements complex methods of providing care. Participates in the delivery of care and functions as a specialty clinical resource for other caregivers. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other job duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience Description: Recent clinical respiratory care experience (hospital, home care, skilled nursing facility) and/or previous respiratory care practice. 1 year hospital experience preferred. Education Required: State license and/or 'RRT' credential in accordance to the National Board of Respiratory Care. Special Skills Required: Basic computer knowledge using Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office. Licensure Minimum: Successful completion of entry and advanced level exams for RCPs. ABG endorsed, if applicable . CRT or RRT, and BLS. ACLS preferred.
