    Special Events Coordinator Save this job Full / Part Time: Full-Time Location: Springfield, Massachusetts Regular/Temporary: Regular Baystate Health is seeking a Full-time Special Events Coordinator What You Will Do: This position is accountable for the effective planning, coordination and implementation of special events for Baystate Health. Responsibilities include developing creative ideas for events; effective and efficient planning and implementation of events; contract negotiations for vendors, space and other aspects of the events; generating positive press stories and publicizing various programs, services, events and activities they coordinate; post event critique and follow-up; and contract fulfillment´s. Responsibilities will include: * Event coordination includes consultation with various departments and organizational leadership on their goals and objectives for each event. * Coordination and organization of schedules; all site arrangements, including set up, event, and post-event cleanup; budget accountability, vendor relations and contract negotiations; recruitment and scheduling of volunteers, leadership and event guests; coordination of community involvement; publicity; photography/video and post-assessment/reporting. * Event partnerships with the Work-Life Division, Academic Affairs and other areas will be critical. * Candidates must be able to make sound independent decisions, capable of facilitating group planning and project management, as well as assist on Division communication projects including communications plans, displays, posters, et al. as needed. * Observe all appropriate BH personnel policies and procedures, including presenting a professional appearance. * Consult with key leaders and departments on goals, objectives and target audiences for each event. What You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree in Business Minimum of 3 yearsâ?? experience in meeting planning, event management or related field Skills: * Experience using Event Brite software * The individual should be an outstanding communicator, an efficient and highly organized project coordinator, with exceptional aptitude for â??following throughâ??. * Organizational as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. * Accurate typing and data entry skills. * Organizes, prioritizes and controls job responsibilities for accuracy and productivity. * Works under deadline pressure and meet the deadlines. * Able to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter. * Ability to lift, ambulate and move materials on a regular basis. * Proficient with operating a personal computer and use of MS Excel/Word/Outlook/Access and other required programs What You Need To Know: Full-time / 40 hours Location: 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield Baystate Health is an Equal Opportunity employer.
