Our Client is an oncology-focused pharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel first-in-class drugs directed against nuclear export and related targets for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases.
SUMMARY:
The Medical Writer, Health Economics, Outcomes Research (HEOR) will work to produce real-world evidence (RWE) and HEOR-focused writing projects (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts, etc.) to support assigned indications within our client’s portfolio. Related projects may include cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, systematic literature reviews, network meta analyses, and burden-of illness/quality-of-life.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop HEOR clinical study reports (CSRs), manuscripts and congress materials (abstracts, posters, oral presentations) in accordance with timelines set in the publication plan.
· Critically analyze complex data and work with HEOR on data analysis and presentation.
· Draft, edit, and submit manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
· Draft, edit, and submit abstracts, posters, and slide decks for presentation at scientific and medical congresses.
· Draft and edit CSRs for regulatory submission.
· Remain cognizant of company expectations in terms of budgeted hours, deadlines, and other goals.
· Ensure that the publication development process and all materials produced are in compliance with current guidelines including but not limited to ICMJE and GPP3 as well as company’s publication policy and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· An advanced degree in epidemiology, health economics, pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline (MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD), required.
· Minimum 2 years of HEOR medical writing experience.
· Oncology experience preferred.
· Regulatory writing experience preferred.
· Proven record of high-impact HEOR communication projects, RWE, value evidence generation, and/or market access.
· Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to review data outputs, interpret results, and develop/deliver communications.
· Ability to support outcome analysis and reporting.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PubMed, and EndNote.
· Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
· Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
