    Digital Content Producer - Communications (DIV) Department Description:This position is perfect for a person who can get excited about content management systems (CMSs), web technology, SEO and web data. This person also should be a strong writer, able to edit submitted content and to provide excellent communication and customer service to our hospital-wide stakeholders. You will be part of the hospital Marketing team, helping with day-to-day maintenance of our primary marketing vehicle the BIDMC website. Job Location:Boston, MA Req ID:24123BR Job Summary:The Digital Content Producer is a key member of the Marketing team. Primarily responsible for the overall quality of BIDMC's most important marketing tool: the external web site, bidmc.org. The Digital Content Producer works closely with the Marketing team and hospital department editors on web content updates and maintenance. Essential Responsibilities: -Updates pages on the external site, keeping content fresh and current, and making suggestions for improvement and change where necessary, drawing on personal entrepreneurial skill & attitude. -Writes web pages while leveraging site standards including site structure, page templates, navigation and the site information architecture. Creatively pulls together marketing campaign material onto the web for a consumer audience. -Monitors site metrics and goals and uses data to inform site updates. -Develops an expertise in using our Sitecore Content Management System and all its functionality to build web pages and guide departments in updating their web presence. -Triages and troubleshoots issues that arise in day-to-day operations. Serves as a member of the Marketing team ON-CALL rotation schedule.Required Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree required. -3-5 years related work experience required. -Proficient knowledge of internet terminology and technology including HTML, content management systems and basic Photoshop skills. Strong understanding of web usage trends and search engine optimization. -Technical proclivity to learn new systems/technology for future incorporation or integration to the BIDMC web experience. -Proven ability to write clearly and persuasively. -Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.Preferred Qualifications: -Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field preferred. -Experience in writing and updating content for large corporate or healthcare websites.Competencies: -Decision Making:Ability to make decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation. Work progress is monitored by supervisor/manager. -Written Communications:Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers. -Oral Communications:Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families and external customers. -Knowledge:Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations. -Team Work:Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members. -Customer Service:Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving.
