Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Tele Stepdown - Category: Nursing - Facility: Boca Raton Regional Hospital - Department: 9th Floor - Neuro Telemetry - Schedule: Per Diem - Shift: Variable - Hours: 6:30AM to 7:00PM or 6:30PM to 7:00AM - Job Description Unit Description: The 9th Floor Neuro Telemetry unit has a total of 20 Private beds with an average RN patient ratio of 5:1. This unit primarily cares for stroke patients as well as general neuroscience patients who are being treated for illnesses including, but not limited to: Alzheimer's, dementia, seizures, etc. Our Ideal Candidate... The ideal Registered Nurse candidate for this department will have a minimum one year of neuro telemetry experience in an inpatient hospital setting. He/she must be customer service driven and will be committed to delivering the highest quality patient care. Minimum Qualifications: - Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure - Current BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association - EKG certification required - NIH Stroke Scale Certification Required - Minimum of 2 years of hospital Telemetry RN experience *Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. *The person in this position will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions. *In the spirit of wellness for both our employees and patients, Boca Raton Regional Hospital has instituted a mandatory influenza prevention vaccination program.
