This Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible: -Performing AP tasks to ensure the timely and accurate payment of Accounts Payable, including processing AP vouchers, scanning of invoices, reviewing and processing match exceptions. -Preventing and recovering duplicating payments, resolving over payments, preventing lost discounts / rebates, and processing employee expenses. -Providing exceptional customer service to address and resolve AP-related inquiries from hospital department managers, employees, associated personnel, and vendors while enforcing Boston Childrens Hospital (BCH) processes and policies. -Identifying and escalating process issues and opportunities. -Potentially assisting with the development of solutions to continuously improve the AP function. To qualify you must have: -A strong understanding of Accounts Payable concepts and processes typically acquired through a high school degree and one to two years of related college coursework and a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable function. Associates degree in a health care related field, finance, business, quality, or directly related field is preferred. -A basic understanding of accounting principles such as AP disbursement process including: purchasing, receiving, inventory, and general accounting interfaces. -The ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize work, demonstrate the ability to adapt to new automation technology and quality improvement processes and ability to adapt to change. -The accuracy and attention to detail for payments, correspondence, reconciliations, financial and statistical calculations, and prompt service.
