The Community Health Marketing Intern will be responsible for: -Assisting the communications team with developing, writing, editing and proofing content. -Developing social media posts and content for Boston Childrens social media platforms. -Supporting, coordinating and developing new content for a paid media campaign. -Maintaining calendar and developing content for email communications -Supporting the creation and maintenance of a content library (story clips and photos). -Helping to maintain and increase audiences on mailing and email distribution lists. -Performing other duties as assigned.To qualify, you must have: -Current graduate level student in communications, marketing or health communications preferred. An undergraduate student with relevant work experience will be considered. -Interest and/or experience in public health, health care and nonprofit work. -Excellent writing skills. -Experience with content management systems. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. -Experience using social media platforms. -The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. -The ability to work independently and with teams. This position will report to the Communications and Project Manager for the Office of Community Health and also have the opportunity to work with teams from the Marketing and Communications Department at Boston Childrens. The ideal candidate will be available for 24 hours per week (Monday through Thursday only) and be available to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to apply marketing and communication skills, learn how to further develop these skills in a health care environment and contribute to Boston Childrens external communications strategy around the community mission.
