GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Coordinator of Volunteers, the Receptionist, using specified procedures, operates a console telephone switchboard; practices customer service when greeting and providing direction to visitors and residents after ascertaining their needs, and performs all duties as stated below.
Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the residents served.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with public preferred.
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with associates and general public.
Working knowledge of personal computer preferred.
Individual must be punctual, thorough, dependable and organized.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sedentary Work_:_ duties require exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally (approx 10-33% of shift) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (approx 33-66% of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move articles such as files.
Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Ability to transport self throughout facility is required.
ACCIDENT OR HEALTH HAZARDS:
No unusual accident or health hazards inherent in position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a well-lit office environment.
