    Graphic Packaging-Visalia manufactures and distributes paper cups and plastic lids for the food service industry and is currently recruiting for the following position.

     

    JOB TITLE:   2ND CUP PACKER                                                         

    DEPARTMENT:  CUP

    WORK SCHEDULE:  4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Midnight)

    JOB SUMMARY:

     Cup packer is responsible for properly monitoring, packing, and packaging multiple cup lines. Cup packer must verify proper identification on all boxes, follow all appropriate procedures when defective product is found.  Cup packer must be familiar with the operation of post cup forming equipment and operation of the plastic auto bagger machine. Cup packer must comply with all quality standards by not accepting defective material into work center, not making defective products at work station, not passing defects to internal customers and by reporting potential quality issues. Cup packer must maintain effective communication with other employees and assist other employees when needed. Cup packer is required to maintain a clean and organized work area and complete other work as assigned by supervisor. Additionally, Cup packer must also be capable of performing the position of a utility packer (UP). A UP is responsible for relieving packers during their breaks.

     

    All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging International work rules, code of conduct and safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety goggles.

     

    WORK DEVICES/TOOLS consist of the following: pens, stamps / ink, and white out

     

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with scheduled breaks
    • Must be able to lift/carry approximately 10 pounds.
    • Must be able to walk around machine/equipment frequently to ensure it is operating correctly. Surfaces are mostly concrete.
    • Must be able to push filled boxes of product onto the conveyer. Light force is required to complete this task.
    • Must be able to use step ladders when cleaning out auto baggers.
    • Must be able to reach between waist, shoulder and overhead height which occurs constantly throughout shift.
    • Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
    • Must be able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime as required
    • Manufacturing experience of 1-2 years preferred
