    TMC/UH LAKEWOOD is located between Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families.  TMC/UH Lakewood specializes in high-risk maternal and child care, and serves as one of the few Kansas City metro area institutions accredited by The Joint Commission in Orthopedics and Palliative Care. It also is home to a 188-bed, fully accredited long-term care center.

     

    TMC/UH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is the KC metro area’s largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The HEALING CANVAS BUILDING, located in Kansas City’s vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services. We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics. We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations.

     

     

    A registered nurse who maintains a specialized body of knowledge used in providing individualized patient care and education in the Pain department.  The nurse provides leadership for activities that plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care.  The nurse identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in delivery of patient services.  He/she conducts assessments of department activities and uses critical thinking skills to adjust staffing as needed.  Monitors the patient rooming activities and ensures an environment of safety according to Nursing standards and TMC policy – is a department resource person to other healthcare providers and acts a part of a collaborative team caring for the patient

     

    Required Skills

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
    2. Licensed as a registered professional nurse in the State of Missouri.
    3. Current BCLS certification.
    4. Current ACLS certification
    5. Two years’ experience in ambulatory clinic or service line.
