JOB PURPOSE
The Associate Insurance Advisor supports our CDA members and TDIC policyholders by assessing insurance needs and making recommendations for products, bundles and coverages. Most of the communication is via phone and email, except in person presentations during organizational events. Associate Insurance Advisors are regarded as having high levels of product knowledge and delivering valuable expertise and recommendations based on client needs. An Associate Insurance Advisor will float between territories to assist Account Managers and Insurance Advisors with their territories. A successful Associate Insurance Advisor is responsible for mastering TDICIS process and procedures and demonstrates the ability to be an Insurance Advisor and become responsible for a territory.

Primary Role
Educates, plans and supports members to help them cover all practice related insurance risks.
Consults with members to identify risk and exposure, advise on the proper values for the member’s assets, and then recommends solutions to manage the member’s risk and exposure.
Acts as a liaison between the member and other departments by gathering and passing underwriting information about the member.
Provides authority to execute insurance and finance contracts that legally bind the organization and its members.
Offers and reviews all product lines with a primary focus on Core Products – TDIC Optimum Bundle, Business Overhead Expense and Disability Insurance and health related products that best meets their needs.
Becomes a product expert for all coverage lines for P&C and L&H.
Cross Sells all appropriate product lines, including referrals to Health Care Team.
Conducts outbound calls as necessary to service and address gaps in member coverages.
Develops business opportunities through outbound calling of leads.
Works as a cohesive team to achieve department objectives.
Works with interdependent departments, and outside carriers to efficiently process application submissions.
Achieve ongoing benchmarks for:
Tracks all prospect management through CRM database system.
Provides a high level of service to CDA members and TDIC clients.
Creates and sustains long term working relationships with valued CDA members and TDIC Clients.
Conducts consistent follow up with prospective clients both on the phone and via email.
Networks with members, clients and prospective clients at industry tradeshows and occasional networking events.
Collaborates in pre-arranged marketing campaigns, and tracking activities as assigned.
