Job Summary Receive ticket indicating customer time of entering and exiting from the health system main parking deck; operates computerized cash register to calculate parking fee based on length of time vehicle is parked in the parking deck; collect cash and provide change as required; prepare receipts as required; monitors the customer self-pay lane. Empty cash drawer at end of shift or as directed by the Fleet Manager, and prepare cash, tickets and cash register tapes for deposit with accounting; prepare daily revenue reports as required. Collect money from Pay-In-Lane System and re-install coins as required. Recover paper journal and prepare collections report from Pay-In-Line System. Attendant may be required to provide assistance to parking deck customers to include giving directions, explaining charges, report customers vehicles needing mechanical repair, and providing general information to customers; report customer-related problems to Fleet Manager. Inspect parking passes upon vehicle entry to ensure validity; provide temporary parking stickers for authorized visitors, customers, patients and staff without permanent decals or passes. Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of parking deck attendant equipment; Pay-In Lane System, Auditor PowerPad Fee Computer, SST Transport and Burster Mechanism, SST Ticket Spitter, SST Exit Verifier and Credit Xpress Credit Card Processing System. Job Qualifications Education and Formal: High school graduate or equivalent. Work Experience: At least six months cashier exp. public contact experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
