Job Description

We are hiring someone who wants to take charge of maintaining the long-term vision for and execution of Catalia Health's architecture and infrastructure.  This includes managing, mentoring, and growing our engineering and QA team.

Catalia Health's commercially-available platform is continuing to grow and evolve and the right leader will help to make the appropriate tool and architecture choices, lead the current team of engineers, and help us to grow the team.  The idea candidate enjoys a mix of hands-on in-the-code work and managerial responsibilities.  We're looking for someone who can not only demonstrate their engineering talent, but who can show a track record of hiring and mentoring excellent engineers.  If your former direct reports would recommend you for this job, we want to speak with you.

On the technical side, you should have experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment as well as with security.  In a healthcare setting, security and privacy are of critical importance.

We are open to hiring at a level from manager up to VP depending on your skills and experience.

Qualifications

Our next engineering leader will have the following qualifications:

• Hands-on software experience, including in python
• Strong working knowledge of security in a cloud environment
• Experience managing and mentoring a small- to medium-size engineering team
• A strong track record of hiring diverse engineering talent
• SaaS platform experience from architectural decisions through development to deployment
• Microservices architecture and deployment experience
• Managing a distributed team -- both US-based and offshore
• Vendor management
• Experience working in a growing startup environment

In addition, the following qualifications will help propel you to the top of our candidate pool:

• Experience developing and working with non-traditional content management systems (i.e. not WordPress or the like, but managing conversational content for AI applications)
• Cloud security experience including meeting HIPAA and GDPR requirements
• Secure data integration with external entities
• Experience with development of hardware products
• Prior work in the healthcare industry, particularly pharma/pharmacy
• Familiarity with human-robot interaction
