Job Description

The Content Writer will work with the Marketing Director and Marketing Team to create content across multiple channels including print, web, email, social and more.  The Content Writer will provide content for marketing initiatives and drive marketing from a content perspective.

TEMPORARILY REMOTE MOVING TO A BALANCED WORK WEEK (combination of work from home and work in office)

• Constantly assess existing content to make sure that content is relevant, progressive and adaptive, and supports the brand voice.
• Develop new multi-channel content to support marketing initiatives.
• Write articles to support products, business building and success stories.
• Help to drive marketing strategy by creating content-based strategies.
• Assist in developing content for monthly US/CA Magazine, New Product Materials, Product Catalog and other collateral and campaigns as needed.
• Help to develop progressive social content designed to engage the audience.
• Keeps up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends.
• Prepare internal and external communications including announcements, press releases, content for advertisements, etc. as needed.
• May help support PR communications strategy and content development.
• May help support event content.
• All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:

• Stand/remain upright, walk/move throughout the building.
• Sit/remain seated at a computer for up to 8 hours a day, usually 4 hours at a time.
• Use a PC or Mac computer, keyboard and mouse and telephone, continuously throughout the day.
• Bend up and down, kneel, stoop and/or squat as needed.
• Turn and twist occasionally.
• Reach down, forward and overhead as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in, Journalism, English, Advertising, Communications or similar related discipline.
• 3+ years of work experience within marketing industry inclusive of researching, writing, proofreading and editing content
• Providing samples of work and/or a portfolio is strongly encouraged
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), email and Internet.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Demonstrated creative skills, knowledge and ability to create and make effective and captivating campaign/package/content.
