Registered Nurse Internship Surgery - (Mount St. Mary's Hospital) Department: Administration Schedule: Full Time Shift: Varied Hours: varied - will be reviewed Pay Period: 75 Job Grade: N99 Union Job: No Job Details: * Registered Nurse Internship Surgery - (Mount St. Mary's Hospital): To support experienced registered nurses in the development and expansion of their clinical practice skills, the Hospital is providing structured program that is a combination of clinical education, support and mentorship. The program will be a combination of clinical guidance under a unit-based preceptor (mentor) classroom instruction, professional growth activities and weekly summaries for evaluation of progress. The Intraoperative Services Internship program will be six (6) full-time months in duration. During the course of the program, the nursing intern will be expected to rotate shifts, work rotating on-call weekends and assume call responsibilities with full mentor support. Once the internship has been completed satisfactorily, the intern will move into a full time vacancy. Educational and Skill Requirements: NYS RN License required One (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience required
