    Job Description

    Cenikor is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Full Time Training Specialist for our Corporate office in Houston, TX.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Training Specialist will be responsible for facilitation and delivery of training as well as the coordination and tracking of training events. This role is responsible for the integrity of all employee facing training documents and materials. As a key member of the training department, the training coordinator will be an integral part of the success of training development.

    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7a - 4p or 8a - 5p & one Saturday per month. Weeks with Saturdays include 1 weekday off Monday - Wednesday & Saturday is 7a - 4p or 8a - 5p.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Act as the primary facilitator of live Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) weekly training to ensure compliance for all staff who interact with clients.
    2. Manage the ANE and Non-Violent Crisis process, including issuing invites to employees based on anniversary date renewals and new hires. Provide support as needed for attendees for this training.
    3. Send out support tools to registered attendees and issue certificates upon completion.
    4. Manage global training tracking tool and provide weekly compliance updates to the leadership team.
    5. Respond timely to questions coming into the Training Support inbox and provide appropriate direction.
    6. Design, develop, and deploy “Training Tip Tuesday” under the direction of the Director of Training.
    7. Manage 3 video conferencing accounts to eliminate the risk of overlap.
    8. Assist in the compilation of training content in support of the training team’s development of courses.
    9. Post training material to dashboard upon request.
    10. Responsible for the ongoing archiving of dated material and precise document tracking.
    11. Develop and maintain Cenikor’s library of Quick Reference Cards (QRC) and post to the dashboard.
    12. Support with coordination of Foundation conferences agendas and materials.
    13. Support with coordination of Foundation’s LEAD program, forms, deadlines, external training passes and mentor specific information.
    14. Gain a working understanding of the Behavioral Health Technician role (BHT) role to assist with the development of training for this position. Collaborate with Director of Training to measure BHT Program success.
    15. Track the movement of qualified employees through various position specific curriculum.
    16. Respond to other requests presented by leadership promptly.
    17. Uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
    18. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as assigned in this job description.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

      • Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
      • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of team members in a diverse community.
      • High attention to detail and excellent organization skills required.
      • Possess good time management skills needed to meet aggressive deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft office, with above average skills in MS PowerPoint and Outlook Calendar.
      • Ability to travel 20% as needed.

    • EDUCATION:
      • High School Diploma or GED required
      • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • EXPERIENCE:
      • Two years’ experience in training coordination, adult learning or other similar experience required
      • Prior experience with substance use treatment, prevention and/or aftercare preferred
      • Prior experience with Articulate, Zoom, Digital Adoption Tool, Smartsheet, Piktochart, and/or LMS preferred
    • LICENSE:
      • Certified APTD or CPLP preferred
      • Valid Driver’s License required
