exciting new full-time opportunity for a Medical Billing Team Lead (RCM
Team Lead) The RCM Team Lead is responsible to know and facilitate
specific accounts and their unique attributes in order to successfully
provide customized RCM for each account. This is a dual position with
its own workload along with oversight to train, audit and monitor the
group for accurate procedures and turnaround. and delivering results.
Essential Functions: * Strong customer service skills; answering client
calls; prompt return and follow up to all interactions; prompt response
to requests for information, both internally and externally. * Trains
individuals on CHMBs systems and workflow in order to ensure protocols
are followed. * Review and work all unpaid and denied insurance
correspondence, both phone appeals and written appeals; confirm all
patient demographics and insurance is current and up to date. * Run,
review and work unpaid patient balance reports for payment by reading
current notes and place for past due letters and phone calls. * Prepare
and send uncollected patient payments to collections by writing up forms
for the doctors to review. * Review and work insurance and patient
overpayments, prepare refund request and send to doctor's office. *
Answer phone calls from insurances and patients. * Organize, identify
and improve managers workflow through daily and weekly productivity
reports report challenges and concerns and request need for assistance
to supervisor. * Ability to perform the duties of the payment entry
specialist, charge entry specialist and AR specialist. * Keep manager
informed of progress, achievements and issues; assist staff with
processes, information and workload * Complies and enforces all policies
and procedures related to the position, the department and the company.
- Achieve goals set forth by supervisor regarding error-free work,
transactions, processes and compliance requirements. * Other duties as
assigned. Experience/Training/Education: * High School Diploma or GED;
One year certificate from college or technical school preferred * 3-5
years of experience in same/related field * Extensive knowledge on use
of email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use payer
websites and Laserfiche; knowledge and use of Microsoft Products:
Outlook, Word, Excel. Preferred experience with various billing systems,
such as NextGen, Pro and Allscripts. * Strong written, oral, and
interpersonal communication skills; Ability to present ideas in
business-friendly and user-friendly language; Highly self-motivated,
self-directed, and attentive to detail; team-oriented, collaborative;
ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints from
employees and clients. Ability to speak clearly and to make effective
and persuasive arguments and presentations. * Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use critical thinking skills
to apply principles of logic and analytical thinking to practical
