    THE ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM is a tailored program aligned with the OptumInsights (OI) Provider Growth Commercial enterprise designed for recent college graduates who are interested in developing client-facing skills in client service or business development. The aim of this 18-24 month program is two-fold: provide real experience as either a client service or business development associate and ensure skill refinement and professional development is at the forefront of your early career.

    Our goal is your success, so applicants to ADP are considered for both positions, client service or business development, and placement determined at time of offer. Factors such as previous or comparable experience, attachment to main responsibilities of each role and interviewer recommendation are taken into consideration. A sampling of day-to-day responsibilities include:

    Business Development (aka Solutions Sales)

    • Execute on sophisticated sales plans and strategies within a defined territory to grow OptumInsights/Advisory Board portfolios at leading health systems
    • Organize new business sales calls and meetings and/or recruit clients to key industry events
    • Conduct research on client needs that may include collecting and analyzing data and presenting portfolio recommendations to sales leadership

    Client Management

    • Coordinate exceptional client interactions and meetings in support of senior commercial leaders
    • Serve as first point of contact for client requests and respond to inquiries in timely and efficient manner. Examples of requests include setting up client trainings on resources available through portfolio, providing access to research publications and website, and facilitating introductions to research staff
    • Project manage new client onboarding process
    • Produce detailed reports analyzing client utilization of products and services.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university; coursework to obtain degree must be completed prior to start of employment. Degree must be awarded and verified within 6-8 weeks following the commencement date at your school.
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered) F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
    • Ability to quickly understand complex business issues and make strategic decisions Customer service and/or sales or fundraising experience
