    We are searching for the best talent for a Clinical Implementation Specialist, Phaco Systems. This is a remote-based role with the ideal candidate residing in or local to Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA.

    Purpose:

    The role of Clinical Implementation Specialist, Phaco Systems (CIS) delivers in-service and surgical support for Physicians and Surgical Staff on the use of the JNJ MedTech ophthalmic equipment platforms. This role will primarily support the JNJ MedTech Phacoemulsification equipment, but will also supplement support of the Femtosecond Cataract Laser when needed. This person will coordinate and execute clinical training for end user clinicians on use of cataract surgery products in accordance with approved labeling. The CIS will utilize their clinical ophthalmic/surgical experience to act as a liaison and key resource for customers and eye care professionals regarding product clinical implementation and troubleshooting performance issues. They will perform safety reporting data coordination, collection, management and reports results clearly and accurately. The CIS will work closely with sales and service counterparts in your assigned geography to ensure that we are meeting all our customers’ clinical needs.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Provides clinical and technical training and support to ophthalmic HCP’s on the JNJ MedTech Phaco Platforms and Femtosecond Laser.
    • Conducts clinical education activities that facilitate effective learning regarding clinically relevant information to ophthalmic HCP’s.
    • Participates in meetings and supports trade shows to provide information useful to ophthalmic HCP’s.
    • Clearly documents all customer interactions.
    • Communicates clearly and effectively with sales/service counterparts to ensure all customer needs are properly followed through.
    • Manages own travel/customer support schedule in a manner to best execute job duties and ensure customer needs are met effectively and efficiently. Seeks support of manager when scheduling conflicts arise.
    • Manages travel budget within organizational guidelines and completes expense reporting in line with policy.
    • Domestic travel up to 75% to support customer needs to include extensive driving, air travel and hotel stays.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university OR equivalent experience is required.
    • 5+ years of medical device, clinical/technical experience is required.
    • CST/COA/COT/COMT is preferred.
    • Previous operating room experience is required.
    • Ophthalmology experience is preferred.
    • Experience working with sophisticated technology and advanced surgical procedures, preferably in an ophthalmology setting.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and support company goals and sales objectives, is required.
    • Ability to travel up to 75%, which will include overnight, and potentially occasional weekends.
    • A valid driver's license issued in the United States.
