Job Description
The Junior Copywriter is an entry-level position responsible for writing and editing compelling promotional content that supports CSA’s strategic initiatives, campaigns, and events. This role requires a creative, out-of-the-box writer who can translate complex technical content into innovative, effective promotional messaging that resonates with an audience of cloud and cybersecurity professionals and drives the reader to take a desired action. The Junior Copywriter will primarily focus on content development for promotional emails and social media marketing. This position reports directly to the Communications Specialist and sits on CSA’s marketing team. To be considered for this role, candidates are required to provide writing samples.
Responsibilities
● Copy Creation: Develop clear, concise, and persuasive copy primarily for email and social media communications with additional copywriting and editing support for website content, collateral, script writing, and blogs. Tailor messaging to resonate with a diverse audience interested in cloud computing and cybersecurity.
● Campaign Collaboration: Work closely with comms leadership to support the ideation and development of integrated promotional campaigns.
● Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all copy is error-free, adheres to grammar and style guidelines, and effectively represents the brand. Revise copy based on feedback and edits provided by comms and marketing leadership.
● Utilize Tools and Processes: Build and schedule email and social media promotional content in Pardot. Support Communications leadership to manage promotional calendar and respond to inbound comms request tickets. Assist Communication Specialist with writing projects as needed. Coordinate with the Design team to facilitate visual needs of the Communications team.
● Brand Consistency: Maintain and reinforce brand voice and messaging consistency across all promotional content.
Skills & Qualifications
● Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar. Must have a true passion for writing promotional communications.
● Talent for writing promotional content that upholds thought leadership standards and is value-based, not pitch-centric
● Preference is given to candidates experienced in Pardot or a similar marketing automation tool
● Working knowledge of content creation for businesses on social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn
● Possess a positive attitude with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
● Highly motivated, independent worker able to meet tight deadlines
● A genuine interest in cloud technology and an eagerness to learn
● Strong project management and organizational skills
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
● Creative, out-of-the-box thinker ready to bring fresh ideas
● Highly skilled in collaboration, problem-solving, time management, quality control and attention to detail
● Ability to work remotely
● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field
