The Materials Management Manager directs and manages the daily receiving, stocking, marking of all facility supplies, monitoring/managing all supplies, and assuring accurate charging of materials and supplies. S/he will implement and assure an effective system to rotate expired products, work with vendors for optimum inventory maintenance and assure proper processing of invoices to Accounts Payable.
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead the Materials Management Department in accordance with procurement protocols, company policy and in coordination with leadership, accounting/finance and practice needs
- Deliver superior quality in all efforts of providing materials and supplies in a timely and cost effective manner
- Collaborate with medical, nursing and other Material Management staff to develop and maintain programs and processes designed to ensure compliance of service
- Perform write-offs, sales quotes of or on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory or sales back into inventory budgets
- Identify opportunities and implement changes to reduce transportation costs, maintain USPS Mail hardware & contract and charges within shipping entities (USPS, Opti-Freight, FedEx, and other third party shipping in house to departments)
- Build relationships with vendors and maintain lead contract negotiations with GPO affiliates and representatives to ensure fair pricing
- Maintain, implement, edit, build and report all Materials Management data groups of templates, inventories, pricing changes, requisitioning template, manufacturers, categories, vendors, verify and security, end of month closing with A/P, Charge Master updates and EDI groups within the MM Meditech database
- Perform and submit recall notification and changes in MSDS forms to departments; maintain data log book for monthly reporting to the CRMC EOC committee
- Collaborate with leadership, department managers, procurement and accounting/finance to identify the most cost effective purchasing for CRMC needs
- Ensure procedures are effectively in place so that all charges are appropriately captured and entered daily
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Materials Management Manager assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in business related field, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, preferred
- 5-10 years’ materials management, stock room or inventory experience, including 3-5 years of which in healthcare setting, required
- 3-5 years’ supervisory experience, required
- TJC accrediting and audit experience, preferred
