POSITION DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research and develop internal, external and digital content (e.g. Newsroom stories, media pitches, internal web content, employee messages, social posts).
• Assist with creating assets to support communications campaigns (e.g., video, photography, infographics).
• Write, proof and edit key documents and deliverables for internal and external use such as articles, social media copy, scripts, presentations and other content.
• Manage projects end-to-end (e.g., engagement campaigns, volunteer projects, special events, research and reporting).
• Coordinate communications among teams involved in various projects, including messaging, video shoots and engagement activities at headquarters and in local sites
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate as part of the Corporate Communications team
• Coordinate/manage materials through internal approvals
• Use Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint presentations, Word) to complete project work
• Research, analyze, and share best-in-class practices across the competitive landscape.
• Review and recommend opportunities to position UnitedHealthcare as a thought leader externally on social responsibility topics

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or another related field from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship
• Experience writing content, developing social media posts, and managing web content.
• Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
