The Complaint Investigation Specialist will receive, evaluate, and analyze suspect contact lenses per current procedure. Conducts DHR reviews for complaint investigations. Communicate evaluation results using CHS. Maintains Good Laboratory Practices, Biohazard, equipment calibrations and inspections. Escalate unusual findings and issues to department manager. Ensures SOPs are aligned with working practices. Adheres to safety and environmental policy and procedures and supports department safety and environmental objectives. Ensures safety inspection are completed per schedule and followed according to procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs and reviews device history reviews, and analyzes various qualities of lenses rejected by clients/customers to investigate complaints. (30%)
· Utilizes computer networks to receive and send customer complaint investigation requests and documents. (15%)
· Coordinates complaint data compilation and reports investigation results to Complaint Handling and/or Failure Investigation Group. (15%)
· Corresponds with Global Affiliates to ensure product return processes are adhered to and product evaluation standards are aligned. (15%)
· Determines the evaluation and/or investigation needed to adequately respond to a specific complaint. (10%)
· Issues request to Engineering, Technical Services, Distribution, Chemistry, Manufacturing, Secondary Packaging, and Ireland to further evaluate and/or investigate complaints. (5%)
· Participates in related projects assigned by management e.g., CHS requirements, Change Requests, SOP Updates. (5%)
· Coordinates additional related duties within the department including training of personnel. (5%)
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least a year of relevant work experience.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
· Parameter certification is preferred.
· Experience using AS400 is preferred.
· Proficiency in basic computer skills (including Word, WordPerfect, Microsoft Exchange, Excel, COGNOS, MES, eDHR, MDS Pro).
