Auris Health, Inc., part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is redefining medical interventions. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation, and data science, we are building intelligence platforms capable of growing the applicability of robotics to a new spectrum of medical procedures. We are seeking a hardworking individual for an internship position within the Algorithms & AI team.

As an intern, you will develop novel solutions in the areas of computer vision and robotic navigation. This will be a great opportunity to develop your skills in solving ambitious problems and contribute to technology development for next-generation robotic platforms.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development, implementation, and testing of computer vision algorithms for object detection and sizing (in Python/C++)
• Experiment design, testing, and analysis of algorithm performance
• Work closely with other research scientists, robotics engineers, and SW engineers to transfer solutions into Auris products and applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD candidate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Solid background in robotics and a good understanding of epipolar geometry
• Hands-on experience with machine learning/deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow) for computer vision
• Experience in processing endoscopic and/or laparoscopic image datasets is desirable
• Proficiency in Python, C++
• Familiarity with cross-platform software development and version control systems (Git, etc.)
