    We are currently seeking a Fire Protection Engineer III to support our Bethesda, Maryland customer. This position is contingent upon contract award. The incumbent will serve as a Fire Protection Engineer in support of research, development, engineering and evaluation support to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, Department of Energy (DOE), and other agencies for materials, manufacturing technologies, corrosion, fire protection, and power sources and systems.

    Minimum Education: Individuals under this labor category shall have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in fire protection engineering. Master’s or doctorate degree in fire protection engineering is preferred.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Individuals under this labor category shall have at least 10 years of experience with fire protection modeling, testing (including instrumentation), design, repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing and evaluation.
    • Experience with fire hazard analysis such as material fire survivability, testing, evaluation, engineering, material fire performance, fire protection, fire suppression, personnel fire safety, and shipboard survivability, is desired.
    • Candidates should have a broad range of hands-on experience in areas such as batteries and battery testing, AC/DC power supplies, loaders, data acquisition systems, computer aided drawing, LabView, MatLab, CANBUS or MODBUS communication protocols.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to this position.
    • Military experience is beneficial, but not required.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
