    Chartis is seeking first year non-MBA master’s degree students to join us as interns aligned to the following practice areas in Summer 2026. Please be prepared to rank your top two preferences in your application.     Role Overview

    Summer interns will become integral members of our consulting teams, generally working on a single engagement to meet client needs while under the direction of and collaborating closely with Engagement Managers and Partners. Summer interns will be responsible for effectively planning and managing distinct segments of work, while acting as a valued contributor to the team. Our project teams usually consist of 3-4 members and client engagements often span 3-6 months in duration.

    Responsibilities

    • Define analytic approaches, integrating multiple analyses, and develop analytic understanding of client problems to identify issues and opportunities to motivate client action
    • Gather and refine complex data sets and data sources to enable accurate and robust quantitative analyses
    • Provide insight into hypotheses under consideration and contribute to team's understanding of client's overall problem and potential solutions
    • Support consulting team by delivering against commitments on time
    • Creation of elegant, multi-issue client communications, present analytic findings and recommendations, and field client questions with minimal support
    • Contribute to the firm’s knowledge development by capturing client engagement approaches and insights

    Qualifications and Desired Skills

    • 2+ years of consulting experience or relevant healthcare experience required
    • Advanced healthcare related non-MBA master’s degree; we are currently seeking first year students graduating in spring/summer 2027
    • Comfortable manipulating and synthesizing large amounts of data
    • Experience working and leading in a team environment where required to manage own work with minimal oversight
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to diagnose client problems
    • Intellectual curiosity about improving health care delivery
    • Intermediate Excel skills; proficient in using PowerPoint and Word
    • Responds well to and enjoys change; works well under pressure
    • Succinct communicator who thinks well on feet
    • Flexibility to travel as required
    • Being based in one of our hub office cities of Chicago or New York City is required for the summer internship period. Upon joining full-time, there is geographic flexibility (however, full-time Associate Consultants aligned to Private Equity are required to be based in Chicago or New York)

    Following a successful internship, the full-time base salary for incoming non-MBA master’s degree hires begins at $110,000 (and ranges based on the line of business you’re aligned to), plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to line of business, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
