    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high-performing team of more than forty individuals that has responsibility for executing transactions across Optum, UnitedHealthcare and our Global businesses
    • Complete financial and valuation analyses that support the purchase price paid for acquisition targets
    • Coordinate and execute special projects with senior leadership, primarily related to the evaluation of potential growth opportunities
    • Receive an opportunity to build relationships with and learn from key decision makers

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Researching potential acquisition targets and assessing strategic fit
    • Preparing and presenting financial models
    • Organizing and conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targets
    • Executing special projects (e.g., industry research, strategic planning, new business initiatives)

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
    • Currently pursuing an MBA from a top-tier program with a target graduation date no later than June 2020
    • Ability to work at the UHG location in Minnesota
    • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong accounting, finance, communication, leadership and analytical skills
    • Comprehensive understanding of valuation methodologies and due diligence process
    • Strong financial modeling skills
    • Team player with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery
    • Travel and work schedule flexibility
    • Healthcare industry knowledge
