    Position Summary

    The Corporate Giving & Events Specialist is a dynamic, strategic, and detail-oriented individual responsible for planning, managing, and executing a portfolio of events that support Share's fundraising and donor engagement efforts. These events include the annual spring gala, donor stewardship events (e.g., We Share series, Brunches with Brondalyn), volunteer appreciation events, and community-building events like “Answers Uncorked”, and other advocacy opportunities as possible.

    Working alongside the Individual Giving & Digital Fundraising Specialist, under the direction of the Director of Philanthropy, this role maintains all aspects of event planning from concept to completion—including logistics, marketing, sponsorships, volunteer coordination, and performance evaluation—while cultivating community and corporate donor relationships. The Corporate Giving & Events Specialist plays a key role in achieving Share's fundraising goals and deepening supporter engagement. As part of a collaborative Development Team, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on creativity, data analysis, and building meaningful donor relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    Event Strategy & Management

    • Lead planning, production, and execution of Share's major fundraising event (gala), third-party/passive “Care for Share” events, advocacy opportunities, and smaller “Answer's” Q&A sessions with donors in the community (2x annually), and “We Share” Major Donor Dinner (20-30 guests)

    • Oversee all event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, venue arrangements, seating charts, décor, AV, and catering.

    • Develop themes, scripts, run-of-show outlines, and event programs.

    • Manage internal and external event recaps and reporting.

    Gift Processing & Data Management

    In tandem with Individual Giving & Digital Fundraising Specialist:

    • Oversee mail distribution to ensure all donations are accounted for

    • Process donations of all kinds, issue receipts, ensure accurate entry into Share's CRM systems (currently NEON and Greater Giving ), and send check reports to finance department

    • Monitor and resolve failed transactions, duplicate accounts, and data integrity issues.

    • Maintain up-to-date dashboards and reports for internal fundraising performance.

    • Pull mailing/email lists and generate reports as needed for appeals, newsletters and outreach campaigns.

    Sponsorship & Fundraising

    • Build and maintain a portfolio of current and prospective corporate event sponsors.

    • Write, design, and distribute sponsorship packets; manage applications and sponsor communications.

    • Secure and fulfill sponsor benefits, including recognition and deliverables.

    • Support the Director of Philanthropy in solicitation of paddle raises, matches, auction items, and raffle donations for annual gala.

    • Engage both previous and new donors through cold call solicitations.

    Marketing & Communications

    • Regularly engage with corporate donors to maintain relationships and encourage continued support.

    • Collaborate with the Community Relations Director and Individual Giving and Digital Fundraising Specialist to develop event specific promotional materials: print, e-blasts, social media, flyers, and event websites.

    • Create and manage digital content related to events using tools like Greater Giving.

    Volunteer & Staff Coordination

    • Partner with the Director of Volunteers to recruit, schedule, and manage event volunteers

    • In collaboration with Director of Philanthropy, assign and oversee event-day roles for staff and volunteers.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High school diploma

    • A minimum of five years of combined post-high school education and/or relevant job experience working with non-profits, fundraising, donation solicitation, or community event planning, etc.

    • Ability to maintain client and donor confidentiality, accuracy, and donor-centered professionalism

    • Strong organizational skills, time-management skills, and project-management skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance and to work occasional nights and weekends as necessary or required

    • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check

    Preferred:

    • Demonstrated success achieving corporate sponsorships and managing high-profile events with 200+ attendees

    • A degree in related and/or relevant fields such as non-profit administration, fundraising, marketing, business administration, etc.

    • Two years of specific non-profit fundraising experience or donor relationship management experience.

    • Written and verbal proficiency in a language other than English.

    • Experience working with one or more of the following CRM programs: NEON, Greater Giving, Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, or other related and/or relevant software programs.

    • Knowledge of DEI principles and experience working with diverse communities
