POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

AA/BA degree in psychology, social services, or health related field, preferred. Knowledge of applicable regulations. Present a supportive and positive position to all staff. Ability to communicate effectively, and teach and motivate staff and clients.

Other Qualifications:

Proven ability to work with others, at all levels within the organization, and collaborate effectively. Above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills. Experience in working with health care and mental health regulatory agencies. Knowledge of appropriate vocational services. Meet minimum competencies or design plan to meet competencies within one year of employment. Valid California driver's license.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that the program is implemented as designed and continuously reviewed to meet the needs of the client.
• Coordinates the development of new programs and services.
• Functions as liaison to referral sources and the community as indicated to facilitate communication regarding client care and programs that may be utilized by these sources.
• Markets the services of the facility to potential referral sources and/or work sites.
• Provides for regular in-service training opportunities based on needs identified through competency assessments and new trends and developments in the field of mental health and vocational rehabilitation.
