    The Sr Network Security Engineer is responsible for day-to-day event and incident monitoring, threat detection and data correlation, and incident response spanning a wide range of security monitoring tools. Additional requirements include collecting potential breach evidence, participating in network and host forensic analysis, and following up with incident remediation activities.

    QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED:

    • BS in Computer Science, Information Security, Security Engineering or related field preferable; or equivalent education and/or experience
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in network security and administration
    • Minimum 10 years of experience with network management tools and troubleshooting
    • CISSP certification preferred or willing to obtain

    _SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR: _

    • Advanced knowledge of network operating environments, security methodologies, common information security tools and systems
    • Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall technologies, Juniper hardware, and Aruba wireless
    • Excellent understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP
    • Advanced knowledge of WAN/LAN hardware, software technologies, and troubleshooting methodology for level of position
    • Understanding of cyber adversary threats and ability to leverage that information to drive engineering decisions
    • Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply pertinent service level agreements, policies, procedures, regulations, and other requirements to achieve desired results.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and display effective time management.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse community of colleagues, users, and executives.
    • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, including development of project timelines, scope, task and deliverable tracking, leading project meetings and conducting service transition.
    • Preferred knowledge of HIPAA regulations and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

    • Effectively analyze network, systems and data center problems, develop solutions, make recommendations, and implement approved security solutions; function as a security expert resource.
    • Respond to security incidents and system faults, analyzing and correcting applications or system faults to reestablish service.
    • Serve in an active, supporting role to the Incident Response Team (IRT) and participate in security incident response efforts.
    • Execute regular malware, vulnerability and exploit assessment reviews.
    • Participate in IT systems project planning, design, implementation, documentation and maintenance.
    • Assists in updates to information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, and procedures necessary to support information security in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls.
    • Configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and install a variety of network devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points (WAP), and other associated equipment.
    • Document and update network physical layouts, logical connectivity, and device configurations with Microsoft Visio or equivalent application.
    • Provide support for wireless network infrastructure which includes trouble tickets, monitoring, design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
    • Follow Change Management process for all changes to production systems, including documenting all systems changes.
    • Be on call as part of Network team/Server team 24/7 call rotation, travel to remote sites to install or replace network and voice hardware
    • Adhere to company policies on equipment, application usage and trusted access to sensitive data.
