PNRC is a 73 bed unit composed of a 26 bed Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord injury unit, a 22 semi-private bed Stroke, Orthopedic and Neuro unit, and a therapeutic one bedroom apartment. PNRC is the largest inpatient rehabilitation center in the area and cares for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics. PNRC provides rehabilitation care to patients through general medical-surgical care, wound care, tracheostomy care, and restorative functional education. We work as a full interdisciplinary team with the physiatrist, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapist, recreational therapist, behavior medicine and case management. We also have full access to all specialty physicians located within FSRMC. This is a fast paced environment with an average patient-nurse ratio of 7:1. Nursing support personnel include patient care assistants, health unit coordinators and licensed practical nurses. Position Summary:nbsp;Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. nbsp; Minimum Experience:nbsp; Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience. nbsp; Continuing Education:nbsp; Sixteen (16) contact hours required annually (8 to enhance clinical expertise); nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; or twelve (12) contact hours required annually, plus ACLS or approved specialtynbsp;certifications nbsp; Licensure Requirement:nbsp; Valid Tennessee RN license.
