Responsibilities: * Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, and other stock items and distribute items to technicians * Order, package, ship and receive parts * Provide customer support for front counter, truck shop, field service technicians, and via phone * Prepare parts returns and perform credits for dealers * Supply parts and information to Service Supervisors and Service Technicians * Use computer to enter records, add new parts, and generate andsubmit stock orders * Assist with managing parts inventory; Maintain necessary recordsin the parts department * Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on palletsand shelves, or convey order to packing station/shipping area * Maintain parts records in the computer database * Manage parts inventory and maintain the necessary records in theparts department * Manage core returns and create core RIDs in the BMS system * Accurately assemble customer orders from stock * Place orders on pallets/shelves or convey orders to packingstation/shipping area * Package, ship, and receive parts * Participation in actively keeping work areas clean and safe at all times * Effectively maintain and develop positive internal / external customer relationships * Perform other duties as assigned * Adherence to the Cummins Business Code of Conduct including setting an example of ethical behavior Skills and Experience Required: * Two years of engine and/or power gen parts experience (preferred) * Able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment * Excellent customer support skills encompassing the Customer Support * Excellence philosophy and standards * Able to use a computer and keyboard to complete work (i.e. partslook up, invoicing, etc.) * Able to contribute to system improvement process * Commitment to task and results oriented * Strong commitment to safety * Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone) Required Education, Licenses or Certifications * High school diploma or equivalent required Physical Requirements * Requires ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds often, up to 75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on occasion using proper lifting tools/techniques * Tasks will require bending, stretching, standing, twisting, climbing up and down on equipment throughout the work shift * Work environment requires Parts Clerk to wear identified PPE at all times REQUIRED - E-VERIFY Cummins and E-verify At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
