Primary duties include, but are not limited to: consistent follow up on unpaid claims utilizing monthly aging reports and filing appeals when appropriate to obtain maximum reimbursement. Required Skills Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and accurately Well organized and confident, but is a team player Ability to prioritize work and constantly evaluate approach to find efficiencies Recommends new approaches to effect on-going continual improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation Superior and creative problem solving skills Has the drive to find the answer no matter the obstacles Ability to handle a high volume of work in a metrics-based environment Very comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management; meets deadlines Escalates appropriately to move the claim towards resolution as quickly as possible Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions or exclusions Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations Able to follow written processes and verbal direction Flexible and responsive to changing business needs Ability to work with confidential information Performs other related duties as required and assigned Responsibilities as a Curo Team Member Adheres to Organizations Policy and Procedures Acts as a role model within and outside the Company Maintains a positive and respectful attitude Communicates regularly with Manager about Department issues and concerns Consistently reports to work to perform duties of position Participates in weekly staff meetings Consistently promotes the companys core values. Associate Degree in Accounting or Business is strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable processing experience Minimum of 2 years of medical billing and revenue cycle experience in a facility, Home Health or Hospice Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions License/Certification: NA Training/Equipment: Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially excel, pivot tables) Homecare HomeBase and/or Zirmed clearing house is a plus Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Fast-paced cubical office environment Some stress may occur Regular travel is not expected in this position While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, and to speak and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
