There's no better place to help people live healthier lives while doing YOUR LIFE'S BEST WORK.SM As a CUSTOMER SERVICE / CORRESPONDENCE REPRESENTATIVE, you will be scanning documents received for 19 facilities. You will also help field calls to back up the Customer Service Representatives, as needed. This position requires the utmost confidentiality as it relates to patients medical information.

    This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday- Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am-4:30pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 3215 PROSPECT PARK DRIVE RANCHO CORDOVA CA 95670.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review incoming correspondence
    • Review and respond to insurance company requests which includes; pulling medical records, itemized statements, explanation of benefits as requested by insurance companies, and note and update Optum360 internal system documenting requested information
    • Scan all correspondence received into Electronic Data Imaging system
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • An education level of at least a High School Diploma / GED OR 10+ years of equivalent working experience
    • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
    • All new hires will be required to successful complete the Customer Service training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1+ year Customer Service Representative (CSR) experience or 1+ year experience in an office setting, call center setting or phone support role

    SOFT SKILLS:

    • Ability to multi-task duties as well as the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
    • Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation including the training period, where lunches and breaks are scheduled, with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule, and work over-time and/or weekends, as needed
