Reporting to an Associate Scientist, Cancer Immunology, over the 12-week assignment, the intern will learn to generate lentiviral particles, transduce primary T-cells, and characterize CAR-T effector function in cell-based assays. Professional Responsibilities: Research Plan and Projects * Cell culture maintaining tumor cell lines, activating and expanding T-cells * Co-transfection of HEK293 cells to generate transduction-ready lentiviral particles * Transduction of primary T-cells and subsequent characterization: Flow cytometry, expression assessment, and functional assays * Collaborate with team members across multiple departments to accomplish key tasks Qualifications: * Actively pursuing a Masters degree in a Biotechnology program or a Bachelors Degree in the biological sciences highly preferred * Previous cell culture experience required * Knowledge of basic immunology and T-cell biology highly preferred * Very organized and capable of keeping clear and concise notes * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Please include a cover letter with all resume submissions.
