    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Throughout your 10-12 week internship, you'll collaborate with research teams to design datasets that help answer questions, use data and experience to contribute to team discussions and help guide projects, learn new or unfamiliar data by reviewing documentation, exploring data, and asking questions and take ownership and responsibility for the data used in research, models, and analysis.     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze healthcare data from disparate data sources
    • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
    • Develop data-driven objectives to assess risks and controls
    • Contribute to the ideation and brainstorming processes required to develop game-changing products and programs in healthcare
    • Translate complex findings into compelling narratives
    • Present your findings to leaders spanning a wide range of technical expertise

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Working towards a BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Life Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Decision Science or related field
    • 1+ years of working analytic tools such as SAS, R, Python, SPSS, KNIME, RapidMiner, Tableau or similar tools, with an additional 1+ years of experience with SQL and/or other querying software
    • Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques, including: regression (linear and logarithmic), classification methods, clustering, neural network development, etc.
    • Experience applying a data science framework such as CRISP-DM, and using supervised or unsupervised learning methods to derive practical analytic insights, from problem formulation through model evaluation
    • Experience translating research questions or business requirements into actionable work
    • Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures
