    A Trauma Sales Consultant is competitive, compassionate, energetic and customer-centric. The DePuy Synthes Trauma & Extremities Sales Internship Program provides well-qualified college students a unique opportunity to learn the roles, responsibilities and impact of a Trauma & Extremities Sales Consultant by working along side and learning directly from them.

    Interns will have the opportunity to be considered for full-time positions in our Sales Organization upon graduation. Decisions for full-time positions will be made based on factors including internship performance and business need. The ideal candidate aspires to become a senior leader within DePuy Synthes.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    As you learn the basic roles and responsibilities of the Sales Consultant, you will shadow the Trauma Sales team in the assigned territory to learn and assist them with activities including assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, creating a sales plan, etc. By the end of the internship assignment, you will have learned and demonstrate what is required to be a successful, entry level Sales Consultant.

  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • Enrolled in an accredited University/College Program with graduation planned for 2022 or 2023; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
    • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above at date of hire
    • Concentration in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration is preferred, but not required

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    Required:

    • As Trauma & Extremities Sales Consultants support active surgeries, candidates must be comfortable being in an operating room setting
    • Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, communication and analytical skills
    • Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and flexibility
    • Proven ability to prioritize, work within constantly changing environments and meet deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Proven business acumen
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • A valid driver's license issued in the United States
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future is required
