We strive to have our staff learn & master several positions within the department. We promote cross training in our department. In our department, patients can order from 6:30am-7:00pm off of our room service menu, which varies per the patients diet. The call center or the Room Service Specialist can take the patients order, based on their diet then the patients order prints to the Room Service Line. On the Room Service Line we assemble the patience tray based off the order, the food cart is delivered up to the Room Service Specialist and then the Room Service Specialist passes the tray to the patient. Staff in this position may also work on the Room Service Line assembling patient trays or working in the Midtown Cafe. Education and Experience -Completion of High School or GED preferred. -No experience needed. -May learn duties in 6 weeks to 3 months depending on the job; must know the importance of accuracy.
