    The Digital Marketing Intern will partner with members of the Optum Demand Generation team to perform a variety of digital marketing tasks, as well as complete and present a detailed project highlighting lead nurture best practices, strategy and reporting. The Digital Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of and experience using digital marketing software applications, including: Eloqua, Adobe Experience Manager, ON24, Salesforce, DOMO, and Workfront.

    In partnership with marketing managers, product management, and marketing operations team members, the Digital Marketing Intern will create, execute and track marketing lead generation campaigns for Optum, with a focus on creating client interactions that are aligned with best practices and driving sales pipeline.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Work in partnership with Demand Generation team members to proactively learn and perform basic digital marketing tasks, determining best solutions to meet the needs of marketing partners, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with a high standard of quality
    • Research, document and present lead nurture best practices, benefits, strategy, and personalization tactics, while effectively highlighting existing functionalities within marketing automation platforms that would support these ideals. Develop standardized lead nurture campaign reporting structures and templates
    • Work in concert with cross-functional teams, using data and analytics to clearly articulate performance, value and areas of improvement to continually advance marketing initiatives by providing actionable insight and recommendations

  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or another related field from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
    • Desire to learn more about and/or pursue a career in digital marketing
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, and the ability to influence through conversation
    • Ability to creatively solve problems, create and improve processes
    • Strong ability to learn technology and keep up with ever-changing advances and capabilities
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
    • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
